In KS2, content covers working scientifically through asking relevant questions and using different types of scientific enquiries and to answer them using straight forward scientific evidence to answer questions or to support their findings. Light content demonstrates that light is reflected from surfaces.
Upper KS2 content includes the opportunity to recognise that light appears to travel in straight lines and to use the idea that light travels in straight lines to explain that objects are seen because they give out or reflect light into the eye.
